Playing for Charity is an organisation that gives a group of likeminded business people the chance to network whilst competing in sporting competitions that benefit the greater good. What founder, Duncan Kreeger, was looking for in a logo was something that combined the three themes of sport, networking and charity.
After coming to me with this idea, I proposed that rather than try to crowbar all three themes into one logo, we focus on the two that best represent what the company is all about; sport and charity. This lead to the creation of a symbol that combines a medal with an awareness ribbon, which are commonly associated with charitable causes.
